Tutor Account Activation Feature

Tutor Account Activation Feature We would like to announce a new feature: Tutor Account Activation. Tutors accounts now have to be activated by clicking on a link sent in an email to newly registered tutors. This feature improves tutor data integrity and our knowledge of tutors. Account activation also improves the speed experienced by tutors at the end of the registration pipeline. The architectural reason for this speed boost is founded on a cronjob which now asynchronously indexes, aliases and sends out the activation and welcome emails. Previously, these operations took several seconds making our tutors sit idle in front out the check-out page. Account Activation comes with a new activation email newly designed checkout page at the end of the tutor registration pipleline and a new front page for account activation (www.tutorz.com/activate). Below you see a portion of the new checkout page.

My Resume Sucks. Now What

My Resume Sucks. Now What Photo by onebuckresume via Flickr Now what? It can get discouraging, scanning through the extensive experience sections of your peers LinkedIn profiles while finding it hard to even complete whole sections of your own, but you are not alone (at least, thats what I tell myself). Actually, even though it may not seem like you’re in the same boat as everyone else, the majority of the student population do not have much to put on their resumes at first. Everyone needed a first internship at one point and it is not an uncommon occurrence for kids our age to apply with minimal job experience. Once soaked with a cold hard drowning of reality, I knew I had to jazz up my resume, but for real. I didn’t want to lie or exaggerate jobs that I’d done. I knew I needed to do something to boost my marketability if I was going to even be considered for any of the internships I wanted. If you’re worried that you’ll be left in the dust because of a weak resume, here are some tips on how to improve it and how to make yourself a better applicant for the job you want. 1. Get Involved.  This may sound awful, but I found myself writing a little white lie here a little white lie there to have something to put on my resume because I had zero to write that was true.  If youre nervous that you don’t have enough experience to apply at some of the places you want, then get experience.   I joined two school organizations this semester and I couldn’t be happier.   The extra responsibility makes me feel more accomplished at the end of the week, and if I can’t make it to a meeting once a week, what am I good for honestly? A commitment and effort towards a project that you weren’t obligated to do shows a possible employer you have responsibility and a passion for something other than just going through life motions.   I’ve met new people, people whom I might not never have crossed paths with if I had not joined these clubs and it turns out I’ve made some pretty great connections for possible internships this summer. 2. Weed Out the Fibs.    If you do end up getting a job or internship that is a little over your head because of a lie, your real skill level will come out within the first week most likely.   If you put under skills that youre an expert at photoshop, it’ll seem a little fishy when a project takes you ten times longer than its suppose to.   Employers will quickly see your real experience and you will come off as extremely unprofessional. Rather than lie, think about the skills you have, not the skills you need to be considered qualified. You may not have an ‘in-depth’ knowledge of Microsoft Office, but can you use it?   That’s a skill. 3. Do Something. Learn a Skill. From starting to sew to learning a new language, the more skills you have, the more versatile, marketable, and interesting you are. Not to mention, it makes you feel good.   Learning something new helps people to relieve stress and express themselves. Pick up a hobby, something that can help you pass time and learn about yourself. Start to paint or draw, learn  to cook Asian food, dabble into authentic Mexican cuisine.   Even if it doesn’t fit on your resume, chances are it’ll come up in conversation during an interview and employers like to hear that their potential employees are interesting and creative in other areas of their lives. Its never too late to add on to your resume. You have all the tools you need to succeed, but the extra effort is what makes all the difference.

Introduction to Hybridization of Atomic Orbits

Introduction to Hybridization of Atomic OrbitsEven though the interrelationship between molecular orbital systems and atomic orbitals is not yet completely understood, it is clear that molecular orbital structures as well as atomic orbitals will form a major part of a course that deals with organic chemistry. That is one of the advantages of teaching the theory of organic chemistry at a college or university. The study of organic chemistry would be incomplete without an understanding of the methods by which it is performed. In particular, students would do well to understand the role played by hybridization of atomic orbitals, and how it provides insight into various aspects of organic chemistry. When you think about it, the chemical bond can be thought of as the result of a rearrangement of molecular orbital symmetry. Specifically, the bond is considered to occur when two atomic orbitals are bonded to each other. In other words, one atomic orbital is replaced by another. However, one m istake that may be made is to think that the mechanical bond, in the form of hydrogen bonding, is always present. In fact, other bonding structures are frequently seen. While it is true that a molecular orbital structure can result from hybridization of atomic orbitals, one important point should be noted. The bonding, which results from the hybridization of orbitals, is an atomic orbital structure that is a chemical bond, but one that has been replaced by a molecular orbital structure. This is an important aspect of this theory, and it has a fundamental difference from the traditional concepts of molecular orbital structure. One major example of this is the fact that the molecular orbital plane is not a circle, but instead an ellipse.Hybridization allows molecular orbitals to be replaced by molecular orbital structures, which can be seen to be different in many ways. Thus, the use of the terms 'atomic orbital'molecular orbital' are appropriate when referring to this theory, as they d escribe the same process.

What Is Fut Chemistry Style?

What Is Fut Chemistry Style?Fut chemistry style was created by an advertising agency to highlight their clients' products. This method of marketing uses photography to explain their product or service. It is also used as a method of advertising the business and the way it conducts business. In this type of advertising, the photographer will take photos of customers and offer them for sale, whether through their website or in print media. The photographer will then offer up the photo for sale. This is used to draw attention to the product and the services offered. This has been around for some time, but until recently there was no method to share photos online. Using this method has made it possible for businesses to market their brand with photos. It has also increased the ability for online businesses to market to their target audience online. Each photo will be creatively edited and post-processed to show only the most useful information. Each photo can be used to provide details on h ow the product or service works, its benefits, and how it benefits the customer.Online photo sharing is not a new thing. Some companies have been using this strategy for years to promote products and services. It allows businesses to save time and resources, so they can focus on marketing their business and increasing profits.Photographers are not only paid to take photos, but to post photos on an online service. In the past, the images were often cropped to remove information and not printed. But these days, anyone with an Internet connection can use their computer to edit photos on their own website.Photos can be uploaded directly onto online image boards. They can be uploaded into individual websites, blog sites, or forums. The advantage of using this method is that it makes it easy for companies to advertise their products and services.

8 Dazzling Audition Songs for Altos [Videos]

8 Dazzling Audition Songs for Altos [Videos] Sign up successful Old Standards: “Stormy Weather” here’s a classic torch song with lots of emotion and a truly gorgeous vocal line, making it the  perfect audition song for an alto interested in jazz. It was written by Harold Arlen, who composed the music for “Wizard of Oz”. There are many fantastic renditions out there, but Lena Horne’s is one of the best: “River of No Return”   this is a song from the Marilyn Monroe movie of the same name. This is a lovely song that is rarely performed because it sits very, VERY low perfect for true alto voices! Pop/Rock: “Constant Craving” who doesn’t love this song? It’s an interesting hybrid of jazz and pop.  k.d. lang’s flawless performance definitely inspires. This song can go anywhere an audition for a band, a cabaret show… you name it! “I Feel the Earth Move” from Carole King’s album “Tapestry” was made for pop/rock altos. All of her songs on this album are excellent, but this is one of the uptempo songs for some contrast. Not only is this a great audition song for bands, talent shows, and open mics, but it also works for musical theatre, since there is now a Broadway show (“Beautiful”) that features all Carole King songs! Musical Theatre: “If He Really Knew Me” this is a very moving ballad from “They’re Playing Our Song” by Marvin Hamlisch. Its perfect for musical theatre altos who consider themselves more pop-ish, rather than brassy belters. The other plus to this song is that audition panels usually love hearing it, since it’s far from overdone! “I’ve Got The Sun in the Morning” this older show tune from Irving Berlin’s beloved “Annie Get Your Gun” is uptempo and just plain fun! A wide variety of lower-voiced ladies have performed this (including Doris Day and Reba McEntire!), but here is the original performer, the great belter Ethel Merman: Classical: “Stride la vampa” this is only for mature altos who have studied and performed for many years! Verdi is definitely meant for the professionals. This very dramatic operatic aria from “Il Trovatore” will show off your trill, your low chest notes, and your acting chops as well. Here is the great Marilyn Horne, who happens to have ALL of that and then some! Of course, the best resource for repertoire is your voice teacher! He or she really knows your voice and abilities, and can work with you in finding the perfect audition songs for altos to best show you off, musically, vocally, and dramatically. Part of the fun of being a singer is discovering the repertoire that speaks to you, and there are many qualified voice teachers out there who would love to help you with that especially you wonderful, rare altos! The dazzling doesnt stop here!  Click here for even more songs to sing. Molly R. teaches online and in-person singing lessons in Hayward, CA. How to Create a Last-Minute Study Plan for Finals

How to Create a Last-Minute Study Plan for Finals Finals season is upon us. Even though you may have already been tested on much of the material that will appear on your finals, you will need to develop a greater understanding of that material in order to earn a high score on the final. Developing a plan to approach your exams can not only help you stay organized as you study, but can also help you reduce some of the stress that comes with reviewing mass amounts of detailed information. But what can you do ifyour finals are less than a weekaway? Check out these tips on how to create a last-minute study plan for finals: 1. Develop a list of all of the topics on which you will be tested A good place to start studying for your finals is to develop an understanding of how much you will have to master and how much time you have to study. Begin by taking stock of each course in which you are enrolled. Which concepts will you have to review? Which concepts are the most in-depth, and which will you spend the least time on? Make a list of review topics for each of your subjects, prioritizing the more difficult and prominent topics. 2. Plan ahead by studying for each subject over several days, instead of cramming The worst position to be in is to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to cram the night before a final exam. Avoid this by using a planner or calendar to plan which topics youll tackle each day. For example, on one day you might study differential functions from calculus, another topic from chemistry, and two additional units from history. Studying all of your subjects over a longer period of time gives you plenty of time to revisit difficult topics and adjust your study habits if necessary. Plus, research indicates that your brain better retains information when it intakes new material over shorter periods of time, rather than an hours-long cram session. Also, many students may intend to study for, say, math and literature on one day, but end up focusing entirely on one subject, without moving on to the next. Planning ahead helps alleviate this problem. If you know a particular subject will take up a great amount of study time, plan for it. Take into account your needs and test dates to make sure you dont put off studying for any subject. 3. Take notes on concepts youll need to review closer to the test As you study, take notes on topics that you know will require some last-minute review before your final. Make sure these notes are organized and comprehensive, but are concise enough to review in the day or two before your exam. You can also tailor your review to your learning style by drawing illustrations, mind maps, or graphics if you are a visual learner, for example, or reading your notes aloud if you are an auditory learner. [RELATED: How to Identify Your Study Style] 4. Complete practice problems for each of your topics The best way to get ready for a finalespecially one that involves quantitative problemsis to answer questions and solve problems concerning the topics you will be tested on. For example, when preparing for a final in your College Algebra class, you should take the time to solve college algebra practice problems that correspond with each unit you are reviewing. Even in non-math courses, like American History, you may come across practice questions to supplement your review. Testing yourself before the real exam is the best way to put your knowledge to use and hone your critical thinking skills. [RELATED: How to Analyze Practice Test Results] 5. What to do the night before a final exam Ideally, youve been studying for weeks, but you could also use a last-minute refresher. What do you do? If you listened to our advice and took notes on difficult topics to review, you can use these notes as a last-minute review sheet to hone your understanding. Review your notes and then go to bed earlya rested mind and body help you perform the best you can on test day. It may seem like finals sneak up on you, but you can control the process with forethought, focus, and review. Start your study plan for finals today, and see the results by test day.
